ARE RENTAL CARS INSURED?

Yes, all Kia rental cars come with insurance, subject to satisfactory customer qualification.

CAN I ADD A DRIVER TO MY RENTAL CAR?

Yes, you can add an additional driver, provided they meet our usual insurance qualifications.

CAN SOMEONE ELSE RETURN MY RENTAL CAR?

Yes, another person can return your rental car, but only if they are listed as an authorised driver on the rental agreement.

CAN I RENT A CAR WITH A PROVISIONAL LICENSE?

No, you must have a full, valid driver’s license to rent a car for either business or leisure.

CAN I TAKE A RENTAL CAR ABROAD?

Generally, yes, but taking a rental car abroad requires additional paperwork and may incur extra costs. It is at the dealer’s discretion. Please check with us before traveling.

HOW DO I REPORT DAMAGE TO A RENTAL CAR?

We recommend reporting any damage or accidents at the time of collection using the Towergate First Call app. This allows you to report directly to the insurer, rental location, and insurance broker.

IS VAT INCLUDED ON RENTAL CARS?

Yes, VAT is applicable on rental cars. A breakdown of this charge will be included in your invoice.

CAN I DROP OFF MY RENTAL CAR EARLY?

Yes, you can return your rental car early, but only during our opening hours.

WHAT DO I NEED TO RENT A CAR?

To rent a car with Kia, you must present:

  • A valid driver’s license
  • A credit or debit card in the hirer’s name
  • An additional form of ID (dated within the last three months) to confirm your address. Please note that mobile phone bills are not accepted.

CAN I SWITCH MY RENTAL CAR?

Yes, if you need to switch your rental car, please speak to a member of our staff at the Hedge End Kia site. Additional charges may apply if you require a larger vehicle.

WILL I NEED TO PAY A DEPOSIT?

Yes, a security deposit is required for all bookings via debit or credit card. This deposit is fully refundable upon return of the vehicle, provided it is in the same condition.

DO I NEED TO REFUEL THE VEHICLE WHEN I RETURN IT?

Yes, please return the rental car with the same amount of fuel as when you checked it out.

WILL I HAVE BREAKDOWN COVER?

Yes, our rental prices include 24/7 breakdown cover for your peace of mind.
